Intersection

Words are extraordinary, the most powerful force available to humanity.
Our words have the ability to transform lives and inspire, but they can also discourage.

We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair.

My print is an affirmation that our society can choose to believe in the possibilities that words of value, acceptance, respect and empathy for all have the power to help and heal.

We can often find ourselves at a crossroads — moments in our lives when we pause, stop and listen a bit more intently. We notice something different. Something unique. We notice the intersection of diverse lives coming together; we embrace individual backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives; and we celebrate both our differences and our commonalities. We bring that same sense of compassion and kindness to the people and communities around us. We relay this through the printed word, the spoken word and our actions.

“Could a greater miracle take place than for us to look through each other’s eyes for an instant?” Henry David Thoreau
